How does acupuncture work?
The fast pace of modern life means our body’s energy can become blocked or depleted, which can result in pain, illness or simply a sense of being under the weather. By adjusting the flow of energy, acupuncture treats the whole body, and not just the symptoms. It can therefore be an effective therapy in restoring vital balance, leading to physical and emotional harmony.
What does it feel like?
Acupuncture needles are extremely fine. You may feel a sensation like a dull ache, a numbness or tingling. People frequently report feeling calm and relaxed when the needles are in place.
How many treatments will I need?
This varies from person to person, but on average improvement is usually felt within 4-6 treatments. Kyla may recommend reducing your treatments to fortnightly or monthly before stopping.
Kyla has a degree in Acupuncture from the prestigious College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading where her 4 years of study also included extensive Western medical theory. She is a member of the British Acupuncture Council.
