What is Physiotherapy, and is it right for me?
Physiotherapy is the treatment of injury, disease and disorders through physical methods, such as specific exercise, massage, manipulation and other treatments – over medication and surgery.
Physio encompasses rehabilitation, injury prevention and health promotion/fitness. It employs a holistic approach to treatment – looking at your lifestyle. In many cases, an injury can be caused by other underlying factors.
Each session with a physiotherapist is unique, because it depends on the your current health issues and needs. However, your first appointment will include assessing and diagnosing a client’s condition and needs; helping to create a treatment plan to reach your physical goals.
