What is Osteopathy, and is it right for me?
Osteopathy is the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of problems involving the musculo-skeletal system. Osteopathic treatment aims to improve freedom of movement throughout the body, so that the best conditions are created for the joint and muscles to work well and heal quickly. Osteopaths use physical manipulation and specialised manual therapy techniques to increase the mobility of joints, relieve muscle tension and help the body’s own healing mechanisms. They also provide advice on exercise, posture, nutrition and other techniques to aid recovery and prevent injuries.
Osteopathy is based on thorough knowledge of the human body, and the principal that all parts of the body must work together smoothly. For this reason, they always assess and treat the body as a whole, rather than focus solely on a symptomatic area, so that the results achieved during treatment are meaningful and long-lasting.

Principal Osteopath & Clinic OwnerOrit’s mission is to help people get out of pain, and living a healthier, happier life. After graduating with a Masters Degree with Distinction at the prestigious British College of Osteopathic Medicine in London, she has been working as an Osteopath in Surrey for the last eight years. In 2015, Orit established Meadowside Osteopathy based at The Wellbeing Space, and looks forward to continuing to grow and serve those in and around Surrey.
Associate Osteopath & Osteo-led Sports Massage TherapistOver the last few years Anthony has worked at a number of top Osteopathic clinics in Surrey and Hampshire, allowing him to gain a broad knowledge of treating a variety of patients from all walks of life, and various injuries from acute sports injuries to more chronic conditions. He’s excited at joining the growing team of experts at Meadowside Osteopathy at The Wellbeing Space.
Associate OsteopathLewis utilises a wide range of osteopathic techniques in order to address the root of the problem and improve symptoms, with long lasting effects. Finally, he prescribes the most relevant exercises and advice to accelerate the healing process and help patients get better quicker. Combined with my previous occupation as an engineer, I’ve always been intrigued by the biomechanics of the musculoskeletal system, and how osteopathy can be used to address dysfunction and aid recovery.
Associate OsteopathRadhika graduated from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine in London, following a four year Masters Degree course in Osteopathy, alongside a Diploma in Naturopathy. She joined Meadowside Osteopathy as an associate in 2017. Her passion is paediatric care – treating newborns, toddlers and children, as well as expectant mothers. Radhika continues to further her studies in this field, and recently gained a further qualification in Paediatric Osteopathy.
