What is Acupuncture, and is it right for me?
Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medicine therapy, which helps you achieve health and wellbeing by adjusting the flow of your energy, or ‘Qi (pronounced ‘chee’)’, via the gentle insertion of fine needles into specific points on the body.
The fast pace of modern life means our body’s energy can become blocked or depleted, which can result in pain, illness or simply a sense of being under the weather. By adjusting the flow of energy (qi) in your body, acupuncture treats the whole body, and not just the symptoms. It can therefore be an effective therapy in restoring vital balance, leading to physical and emotional harmony.
Acupuncture is a virtually painless therapy. Using fine acupuncture needles, you may feel a sensation like a dull ache, a numbness or tingling. Once in place, people frequently report feeling calm and relaxed during the session.
I’ve been seeing Kyla for acupuncture for various problems; back pain, arthritis and a damaged knee. In each case not only have the symptoms improved but I leave her treatment room feeling calmer and with much more energy. She approaches her subject with sensitivity and care and takes time to listen. I always feel very reassured and would certainly recommend her. She’s a consummate professional in every way, gentle, thorough, considerate and kindMark
Kyla is a caring and insightful practitioner who seems to have amazing intuition. She was able to quickly find the root cause of my issues. I am so grateful, thank you!Grant
I had suffered from a debilitating health problem for over 20 years when I decided to give acupuncture a try. Kyla immediately put me at my ease, allayed any fears I had and I was amazed that I actually found treatment really relaxing. The results were life-changing, both for me and those around me, some of whom have now also had treatment. I would have no hesitation in recommending Kyla and acupuncture to anyone.Anita
